NTEA Work Truck Show exhibit by Diamond Roll Up Door, Inc.

This year’s NTEA Work Truck Show exhibit by Diamond Roll Up Door, Inc. has stirred up massive interest in putting roll up doors on America’s work trucks instead of the traditional swing-out doors currently used in this industry. Diamond has been pushing the idea for several years and may soon see the benefits of its efforts.

The focus this year was getting a complete basic utility body, with roll up doors, in front of the end users and not just the manufacturers. Working with an all aluminum utility body manufacture, Duramag (F3MFG), the two companies have put together an economical, all aluminum, and lite-weight utility body with roll up doors. Working together, the two companies have come up with a utility body that is lite weigh and safer and can be produced at a reasonable price.

The fire and emergency vehicle industry has seen and understands the need for lighter weight and safer vehicles. Nearly 80% of their vehicles produced today have the safer roll up doors. In the process they have determined that the manufacturing process is simpler and actually reduces overall cost. We believe there is going to be a shift to roll up doors in the Work Truck Industry and Diamond is striving to be the catalyst and leader in that endeavor.
